00:00:00 — contact, Bronx, NY

one studio, one door: 4001 white plains, bronx.

Most of the shows we produce never visit. Raw files arrive by link and the scoping call happens by phone or video. But there is a room, and an engineer in it, and this page is how to reach both.

00:02:40 — the brief

a useful brief runs about four sentences.

We don’t need a deck. We need to know what the show is, who it’s for, how often it lands and when the first episode has to go out. Everything else we can find out on the call.

What are we scoping? (pick the nearest)

Read by an engineer, answered with a time for the call.

00:07:15 — after you press send

the reply runs on two tracks, and only one of them is yours.

Read it like a session timeline. The top lane is what we ask of you; the bottom lane is what we owe you. Nothing is billed until the scope in the middle has your approval on it.

Studio brief read, times offered

An engineer reads it and replies with a few call slots — not an autoresponder.

Phone or video, whichever suits. Visits to the room are arranged the same way.

Both of us the scoping call

About thirty minutes, free. We listen to a sample if you have one.

Studio a written scope & price

Stations, episode count, revision rounds and dates — one fixed figure.

You approve, share raw files

Sign off the scope, then send a folder link. That’s when the clock starts.

Studio reviewable master

Within 72 hours on single episodes; seasons follow the agreed calendar.

Taking over a show already in progress? Add two published episodes to the folder and we’ll match the existing sound before suggesting a single change.

00:12:52 — the handover

what crosses the desk, in each direction.

Once the scope is signed, most of our conversation is files. Here is the exchange in full, so neither side is left waiting on something the other assumed.

Material You send → ← We return
trk 01audio One WAV or FLAC per microphone, 48 kHz, plus thirty seconds of room tone. Name files like ep04_host.wav. A master at −16 LUFS and −1 dBTP: an MP3 for the feed and a WAV for your archive.
trk 02notes Timestamped revision notes, as plain as you like — 12:40 keep the laugh is a perfect note. One revised master per episode, with every note marked done or answered.
trk 03music Your licensed intro and outro beds, or a word that you’d like us to source them. Beds edited to length and ducked beneath speech, never fighting it.
trk 04artwork Square cover art at 3000 × 3000, and any episode-specific images. Artwork checked against platform specs and embedded in the ID3 tags.
trk 05the feed Contributor access to your podcast host — never your personal password. A scheduled episode with show notes, chapter markers and season numbering in place.

  • ring first

There are no walk-in hours. The engineer at the desk is usually mid-edit, headphones on — a booked time means the door gets answered.

  • by train

The 2 and 5 run along White Plains. Ask for the nearest stop when you book and we’ll send it with the confirmation.

  • or never come

Plenty of shows run a full season without visiting. Files travel by link, calls by phone or video, invoices by email.

00:24:00 — last segment

one raw episode is enough to start the conversation.

The pilot is $415: one episode up to sixty minutes, edited, mixed, mastered to −16 LUFS, written up and published to your feed, with a reviewable master within seventy-two hours of your files arriving.
